Cute and funny baby duck
traveled on her mother’s back.
Comfy as if on a couch,
or a joey in a pouch.
Mother duck got to the lake,
found a piece of lemon cake,
then said to her little one:
“Sweetie – listen to my plan.
I will teach you how to swim,
it’s much better than a gym”.
Baby duck was scared of water,
Mother showed her little otter.
“Look, my darling, he loves swimming,
water races often winning.
Try and see – it’s lots of fun,
unlike going for a run”.
“Ok, Mommy – I will learn,
I’m just tiny bit concerned…”
“Do not be” – his mother said –
“there is nothing you should dread.
All ducks learn to be great swimmers,
all at some point were beginners!”.
