Bouncy gerbil in the rye,
once sat down to watch the sky.
Munching on a piece of pie,
waited for his coat to dry.
Let me quickly clarify,
that the rabbit which ran by,
splashed some of his juice supply
on the gerbil and magpie,
when joyfully jumped too high.
Gerbil then, a funny guy,
with one eye green and one blue eye,
only heaved a heavy sigh,
thinking: “that was really wry”.
He kept gazing at the sky,
shared the pie with butterfly,
wishing he could also fly.
Some time later coat was dry,
gerbil said to sky: “goodbye”,
and bounced home to have stir-fry.
