Sleepy koala saw a young kitten,
“God, I hope I don’t get bitten…”
said the koala just to himself,
holding on to the tree in Perth.
Kitten was red and so very sweet,
koala decided to smile and greet.
Went down the tree to say “hello”,
and made so happy this tiny fellow.
Kitten has offered a bag of sweets,
that he received from lovely kids.
Koala thanked him and had one toffee,
Then asked if kitten would like some coffee.
Kitten responded with honest smile:
“I’m not allowed for quite a while.
I’d love some milk, if you don’t mind,
thank you for being so very kind”.
