Golden lion called Sylvester,
lived happily in Colchester.
Had a neighbour – a nice zebra,
known by others as Ms. Deborah
Lion was a gentle creature,
lovely smile was his main feature.
Zebra Deborah thought he’s scary,
very big, wild and hairy.
Lion made a chocolate cake,
(and believe me – he could bake!).
Brought the treat to zebra one day,
and said: “Although it is not hay –
I made it especially for you,
so you consider my good will – true.
I’m not bad at all, or scary,
I am delicate and merry.
Please Ms. Deborah – let’s be friends,
play together at weekends!”.
Zebra said – “Yes, I’d like that,
please come in for tea, in my flat”.
They became great friends indeed,
helping each other in times of need.
They met together every weekend,
both very grateful to have a friend.
